From the Interlaken Ost train station, take a scenic 40-minute train ride to Grindelwald. Another option is renting a car from Zurich Airport! This allows you to take in the breathtaking views of the Swiss countryside as you drive towards Grindelwald. Plus, having a car gives you the freedom to stop along the way and explore other charming towns or natural attractions. While we were in Switzerland, we stayed in Interlaken and visited many villages throughout our stay, including Grindelwald.

We would recommend that you purchase your tickets the day of because you will want to make sure the skies are clear or there will be low visibility at the top of the mountain. As a four-passenger, zip line-type ride, our personal adventure on The First Glider was a heart-pounding thrill. While we were there, there was a summer market with a ton of local vendors selling food, hand-made souvenirs, etc.
